افتتحت منظمة الهلال الأحمر الإماراتي أكبر مخيم لإيواء النازحين العراقيين من محافظتي نينوى والأنبار، على مشارف مدينة أربيل في إقليم كردستان العراق.
ويضم المخيم، الذي أطلق عليه اسم “مخيم شهداء الإمارات”، 1000 وحدة سكنية تتسع لأكثر من 5 آلاف نازح، بالإضافة الى المرافق الخدمية الضرورية كالمدارس والوحدات الطبية والمساجد وحدائق الالعاب للأطفال.
ويعتبر “مخيم شهداء الامارات” أضخم مشروع أنجزته منظمة الهلال الاحمر الإماراتي، وهو واحد من جملة مشاريع خيرية تنجزها، دولة الامارات العربية في إقليم كردستان، كوقف دائم، إكراماً وترحماً على أرواح شهدائها الذين سقطوا مؤخراً في أحداث اليمن.
وسيتم توزيع وحدات المخيم، الذي ستتولى حكومة أربيل المحلية إدارته بالتعاون مع منظمات دولية، على النازحين عن محافظتي نينوى والأنبار حصراً، والساكنين حالياً في خيام مؤقتة.
